Tudor

 In Canterbury, we stayed at a lovely hotel, below, opposite an old library.


This is authentic Tudor architecture. In Dallas, the beams are attached to the front in a manner we call faux Tudor. Sometimes the “beams” are simply stripes painted onto stucco, in a manner we call imitation faux Tudor.

During the two days before the Crescendo Summer Institute begins, there is a program called Sostenuto, primarily for Institute faculty and staff. There are get-acquainted sessions, prayer, worship, and speakers. This year, Sostenuto is being led by Kristen Van Dyck, who is staff for Crescendo North America. She spoke movingly Friday evening, introducing the conference theme, “Dew from Heaven”, Hosea 14:5.
